24 the DVD board game package(encrypted)
Well I did end up getting creative with the packaging. Please switch to secure alpha channel #154 to decrypt the package.
A very simple idea. We send some random person on the internet something from my room...for free. We'll talk about what we are sending and then the response we get from the person receiving it.

Oh, you are too creative! This is such a great idea for a site, I've been following you since the GB Micro. Fun times. What made you decide to do this? I'm looking around my house right now and thinking, "Damn, I could just give all sorts of crap away!"

That's a pretty cool package, John Brooks. I'm impressed. What did they say when you took it to the P.O.?

They looked at me like pretty weirdly and said I'd probably have to box it up. I did :(

I never box my stuff up. I sent a baby in a basket for shower present. I wrapped a baby doll in a blanket and wired it to the bottom of a basket. I pinned a note to the blanket that said something like "Please send me to these nice people who want a new baby" or something like that, with the address and stamps. The mailcarrier left it on their porch.
Did they say why you had to box it? The postal workers at 37350 know my mail and always take it, but sometimes other post offices think it can't be done. They are wrong. All you have to do is pay a little extra because it has to be hand stamped. And take it to the window instead of leaving it in a box. They will also try to tell you that it won't make it, but they are wrong about that, too. It ALWAYS makes it, at least everything I follow up on. I think unusual mail has LESS chance of getting lost because it stands out.
Come to think of it, the Tuscaloosa PO put my mail in a bag. This was not necessary. I think I'll send you something with chains and see what they do. Or send a couple of packages to different places and see what happens.
Check the regs yourself. It won't say anything about NO PADLOCKS. There are size and weight requirements, but not much more, You can even mail live animals.
As long as you aren't mailing anything hazardous, it should be ok.
I mailed some unboxed toys to Trenton, GA. They didn't show up. The recipient notified them. They said they didn't arrive. I complained to my PO. They should have been there. Weeks later the POSTMASTER showed up in the EVENING with the toys. He said they had been at the PO all this time and they didn't know who they were for. HOW DID HE KNOW WHERE TO TAKE THEM? Just a lame lie. He told them that it was unsafe. Which was ridiculous. He was ignorant of the actual rules (assumed that just because he had never seen mail art that there was a rule against it.)
Did you know, John Brooks, that you can even get your own postmark? You can stamp your own mail.
Go postal on 'em, JB.

We have decoded the package and shall begin interrogation of its contents as a predecessory event to the viewing of 24 this evening.
